Pavers & Patios
Service

Paver pool decks and patios that last

The right pavers make a backyard. We install pool decks, patios, walkways, driveways, and paver borders across South Florida - brick, travertine, marble, porcelain, big-format modern styles. Every job gets proper base prep, drainage, and sealing so the pavers still look right five and ten years in.

The Cliff's Difference

Pavers picked for your house

We help you pick pavers that actually go with your house - the roofline, the pool, the way you use the yard. Classic brick, big-format modern, travertine, marble, porcelain, textured, decorative patterns - we've installed all of it. The right pick makes a backyard; the wrong pick you'll notice every day.

Comfortable underfoot, safe around the pool

South Florida is brutal on surfaces - sun, rain, salt, foot traffic. Proper base prep, drainage, layout, and material choice keeps pavers from shifting, puddling, or fading fast. Around pools, we pick slip-resistant, cooler-underfoot options so the deck is livable in July.

The floor of your backyard

Pavers create the usable square footage - the room where you actually eat, sit, grill, and walk around the pool. Paired with a pergola, kitchen, pool remodel, or turf, they set the tone for the whole yard.

Pavers & Patios FAQs

Pavers & Patios - your questions answered

How long do pavers last in South Florida?
Properly-installed concrete pavers on a compacted base with polymeric sand joints last 25-30+ years with basic maintenance. Travertine and marble last even longer but need periodic sealing. The killer isn't the paver - it's the base prep and drainage, which is where we spend the most site time.
Should I choose travertine, marble, or concrete pavers?
Travertine stays cooler underfoot, has a natural high-end look, and holds up beautifully - great for pool decks. Marble looks the most upscale but needs more sealing. Concrete pavers give you the widest color/pattern range and lowest cost. Our design consultation walks you through samples in your actual yard so you see them in your light.
Do pavers need to be sealed?
Concrete pavers don't strictly need sealing but a good sealer preserves color and makes cleanup easier - typically re-seal every 3-5 years. Travertine and marble should be sealed on install and re-sealed every 2-3 years to prevent staining. We offer a sealing package on completion and again as a scheduled service.
How much do paver pool decks cost?
Most residential paver pool decks run $18-$28 per square foot fully installed - base prep, sand, pavers, coping, and edge restraint. Travertine typically lands at the top of that range, standard concrete pavers at the bottom. Your existing deck removal (if we're tearing out concrete) is quoted separately.
Can you install pavers over my existing concrete deck?
Sometimes, if the underlying slab is stable, drains correctly, and doesn't have significant cracking or settlement. But usually we recommend removing the old slab so we can control the base ourselves. Overlay-over-bad-concrete just moves the problem up an inch.
How do you handle drainage around the pool deck?
Every deck we build has intentional slope away from the house, permeable sand joints that let water pass through, and where site conditions require it, French drains or channel drains tied into the yard's existing drainage. Drainage is a design step, not an afterthought.
What areas of South Florida do you serve?
We serve all of Broward and Palm Beach Counties - from Fort Lauderdale, Weston, Coral Springs, and Parkland up through Boca Raton, Delray Beach, Wellington, Jupiter, and everywhere in between. See our full service-area list on the Areas We Serve page.
Do you offer financing?
Yes. We work with a handful of pool-friendly lenders and have monthly payment options for new construction, remodels, and outdoor rooms. Details and a quick pre-qualification form are on the Financing page.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes - Certified Pool Contractor CPC1460184 and Certified Building Contractor CBC1265425. General liability, workers' comp, and bonding are all in force. We can email current certificates before we start any project.
